I love the Theatre. It's my church. It's my joy. I have been performing in plays and musicals for over half of my life, and I would be lost without it. Now more than ever, people are cutting back on everything that is too expensive or unimportant to their lives. As an actor, heck as a person, I don't know of anything that is more important than the arts. Art reflects history. It shows humanity at its worst but also its best. Every day some artistic program is getting cut from a school or a great show goes unseen. Maybe a talented singer isn't able to audition for American Idol. There are a ton of people who live in the South Bay Area of California, who go unseen or unheard. There are many production companies that are just bursting with talent, but people don't see the shows. I will do my best to bring you interviews with local artists of every kind, send out the call for local companies looking to cast people in productions, and much more. Stay tuned because this is only the beginning.

Calendar of Events…

Jeez! I thought that exporting my files from my icalendar to my Google calendar then to my site would be a piece of cake. Nope. Had a million hoops to jump through. Turns out the only way I can physically change my page set up is to pay an additional chunk of money to obtain that luxury. That’s pretty crappy. So I have a very rough calendar loaded onto my blog roll if you want to check it out. There are a TON of auditions, classes, and exhibits, and now that I can do it this way I’ll be able to give you more notice. Like Martha says “It’s a good thing.” The calendar link is located on the right side in the middle of the page.

Oh, I am currently transcribing my interview with Bill Starr. He had such wonderful stories that I think you need to hear them. The only downside is that you can’t hear in his voice the respect with which he speaks as he tells them. It’s very moving.

Sorry, I can’t chat more, but I have a new apartment to move into.

Yay! Even more bad news…

When I conduct my interviews, I take a digi recorder and mic along with my now not-so-trusty macbook with me so that way I have a back up copy of the talk. I am not sure why, but for the interview with Bill, he sounds like he is sitting in a whole other room. I can barely hear what he’s saying, and it just makes me even more angry that this happened. Especially since I was about an hour away from posting episode 2.

In short my friends, there will be no interview with Bill Starr. I will have to try and catch him another time and see if he would be willing to have another meeting. So, I am trying to get another interview to fit into a podcast and post it later today. I will keep you updated in an hour or so.

Unbelievable disaster!!!!

I don’t know what happened, but I lost all of the tracks for Episode 2. I am so disgusted right now that I can’t even type this. My interview with Bill Starr is wiped clean and everything except the stupid jingles are gone. I saved the episode and was going to begin my show notes, when I figured that I can import it to my itunes to hear how the finished product came out. As the file was loading, I got three error messages saying that tracks 1, 2, and 4 were unable to be found. I think I am going to be sick!
