Sadly, now more than ever, people are cutting back on everything that is too expensive or unimportant to their lives. As an actor, heck as a person, I don’t know of anything that is more important than the Arts aside from food, water, and air. Art reflects history, as well as the world around us. It shows humanity at its worst but also its best.
I love the Theatre. It is my church.
It’s my joy. It is my passion.
I have been performing in plays and musicals for over half of my life, and I would honestly be lost without it. Working so often with such creative people who taught me many things, but mostly to appreciate the beauty in everything. I love to watch people paint and create. I love to watch people perform if that’s where their heart truly lies. And I would love to share what I find with all of you.
Everyday some artistic program is getting cut from a school or a great show goes unseen. There are many, many artistic people that live in the South Bay Area of California, who go unseen or unheard, or don’t get to find out if they are artistically inclined. There are many production companies, and solo artists that are just bursting with talent. Each week, I will do my best to bring you interviews with local artists of every kind, send out the call for local companies looking to cast people in productions, and let you know of my personal experiences as an actor and choreographer. You’ll get to know a show almost as if you are part of the cast.
I hope you join me and meet some very talented locals. Stay tuned because this is only the beginning.
